Here’s a first look at the beautiful space we will soon call home for St Mary of Tserha Tsion.

Ceiling Preparation: The ceiling throughout the building has now been fully skimmed and given a mist coat of paint. The next steps involve careful sanding, followed by a final coat of paint to complete the ceiling finishes.
Arch Restoration: Attention will soon turn to the restoration of the original arch. This will include sanding and repainting to revive its original character, preserving the historic charm of the space.
Exterior Wall Works: All exterior walls have undergone extensive treatment. The old rendering was removed and a damp-proof coating applied. This was followed by the installation of insulation partitions, which were then boarded using soundproof plasterboard.
Next Steps: Once electrical work is complete, the walls will be fully boarded, skimmed, and painted—bringing us closer to the final stages of this phase of the project.

አርቹን ወደቀድሞው መመለስ፡- በቀጣይም ትኩረት ወደ አርቹን ማደስ ይሆናል። በቅርቡም ጣርያው ላይ የሚገኘውን አርች ወደነበረበት ገጽታ ይመለሳል። ይህም የቦታውን ታሪካዊ ውበት በመጠበቅ የማለስለስ እና ቀለም መቀባትን ሥራ ይጨምራል።
የውጪ ግድግዳ ስራዎች:- ሁሉም ውጫዊ ግድግዳዎች ላይ ሰፊ ሥራ ተሰርቶበታል። የድሮው ሬንደር ተነስቷል እንዲሁም ውሃ የማያስገባ ኮቲንግ ተደርጎበታል። በመቀጠልም የኢንሱሌሽን ክፍልፋዮች ፓርቲሽኖች ተተክሎ ድምጽ በማስገባ ፕላስተር ቦርዶች ተሸፍኗል።
የቀጣይ ሥራ እርምጃዎች:- የኤሌክትሪክ ሥራ ከተጠናቀቀ በኋላ ግድግዳዎቹ ሙሉ በሙሉ ተለስልሰው ቦርድ ገብቶላቸው ይቀባሉ። ይህም ወደ ፕሮጀክቱ የመጨረሻ ምዕራፍ ደረጃዎች ያቀርበናል።
2024 Building Update
Initial Stage: The first image depicts the building's condition at the project's commencement.
Revised Plans: Originally aiming for minimal renovations to commence services, the congregation's input led to an expanded plan. This includes an enlarged chapel floor to accommodate more attendees and the addition of a mezzanine level, as illustrated in the second image.
Structural Modifications: To facilitate the chapel's extension, contractors undertook significant work, captured in images three and four:
- Removal of all plasterboard walls.
- Dismantling of existing toilet walls.
- Excavation of a new trench for rear toilet facilities.
- Application of damp-proof render and wall tanking.
- Installation of new plasterboard.
Chapel Extension: Image five showcases the chapel's extension reaching the building's rear.
Toilet Area Preparation: Images six and seven display workers breaking concrete to prepare for the new toilet installation.
Roof Enhancements: Images eight and nine highlight the completed roof, featuring six newly installed skylights to enhance natural lighting.
Exterior Work Commencement: As interior renovations progress, scaffolding has been erected to initiate exterior work, as seen in images ten and eleven.
